Artist's Description
We made it to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a week of seafood, sun, relaxation and for me, hopefully, some great photo opportunities. Day one was a beautiful day on the beach. I saw these three ladies sporting their straw hats and took the liberty of capturing their trek on the sand against the wind. I did a little editing to give it more of a watercolor painting look to help hide the identities of the three women as I hadn't asked them for permission to photograph them even though their faces are pretty much hidden by their hats, and I just like the effect more.

Hello and welcome! Thank you for taking the time to browse my photography. I am based in northwestern Pennsylvania surrounded by a large Amish community. I am a long-time photographer. My introduction to photography was with a 35mm Minolta SRT 101 SLR in the early 1970s. I fell in love with the work of Ansel Adams and wanted to do mostly black-and-white photography. When my wife and I started a family I fell away from photography and gave up film and photo development along with my darkroom. Now that I am back. I have bought three Canon dSLR cameras over the years. My first was a Canon EOS T3i and then I upgraded to a 70D. In 2022 I learned that Canon was doing away with its EOS line of cameras, so I upgraded to a 90D. My favorite subjects...
