This is one of those photographs that wasn't planned, it just happened. It had rained all day and the wind was pretty stiff, but it was the bright colors of the leaves and green walnut husks that caught my eye against the dark wet tree trunks in the background. Joan Baez's famous song came to mine as I snapped the shutter.
Hello and welcome! Thank you for taking the time to browse my photography. I am based in northwestern Pennsylvania surrounded by a large Amish community. I am a long-time photographer. My introduction to photography was with a 35mm Minolta SRT 101 SLR in the early 1970s. I fell in love with the work of Ansel Adams and wanted to do mostly black-and-white photography. When my wife and I started a family I fell away from photography and gave up film and photo development along with my darkroom. Now that I am back. I have bought three Canon dSLR cameras over the years. My first was a Canon EOS T3i and then I upgraded to a 70D. In 2022 I learned that Canon was doing away with its EOS line of cameras, so I upgraded to a 90D. My favorite subjects...
