Artist's Description
My family and I spent a beautiful Labor Day week in Corolla, NC on the Outer Banks. The weather couldn't have been better to photograph the beauty of the region. This is a photograph from the dune at Jockey's Ridge State Park which is located in Nags Head, North Carolina. It covers 426 acres and includes the tallest active sand dune system in the eastern United States. It is the most visited park within the NC park system. Viewing the sunset over the sound, bird watching, and kite-flying are among the favorite activities of visitors. While on the dunes a storm was approaching as the sun was setting allowing me the opportunity to capture this beautiful scene.
About Skip Tribby

When my wife and I started a family I fell away from photography and gave up film and photo development along with my darkroom. Now that I am back. I have bought three Canon dSLR cameras over the years. My first was a Canon EOS T3i and then I upgraded to a 70D. In 2022 I heard the news that Canon was...
