Artist's Description
Occasionally the Blue Jays will come in to our feeder to take advantage of the free black oil sunflower seeds. You will see more of these as the temperatures drop and if there is a lot of snow. They seem to do alright for themselves otherwise. They can be bullies at the feeder and chase away small birds. They at times take the time to break the seed shells to get to the seed and at other times they will eat shell and all.
